AAP leader Ashutosh confirmed the news on Twitter. The raids, which started around 8.30 in the morning, took place at more than 10 properties belonging to Tanwar. Reacting to the development, AAP’s Delhi Convenor Dilip Pandey launched an attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi:

The raids come a day after First Information Reports (FIR) were registered against another AAP’s Janakpuri legislator Rajesh Rishi on charges of extortion and abetment of suicide of a woman and Delhi Commission for Women chief (DCW) Swati Maliwal for allegedly disclosing name of a 14-year-old rape victim from Burari. Maliwal is considered a close aide of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

Meanwhile, Okhla lawmaker Aamanatullah Khan, who was arrested on July 24 for allegedly threatening a woman from his constituency, was sent to Tihar Jail for 14 days.
