Actor Shruti Gera had threatened to take action against the channel if the clip was not removed.
Last night, Times Now apologised for "erroneously reporting" Mumbai-based actor Shruti Gera’s "claims...as allegations against Raj Kundra".
The media must be free and fair, uninfluenced by corporate or state interests. That's why you, the public, need to pay to keep news free.
ContributeThe apology came after Gera tweeted that Times Now had taken her words out of context after interviewing her on her experiences of the "casting couch". She claimed the channel had taken a three-minute clip from her 20-minute interview and used it to "grab eyeballs".
Gera reiterated that she did not know Kundra, who was arrested last week in connection with an adult film racket.
Gera also tweeted that she would be "clearing the air" on her "favourite news channel", Republic.
