Vice comes to India with Times Group
Vice Media, an American-Canadian digital media and broadcasting company, has announced a joint venture with Times Group for its foray in India. Vice started off as “punk magazine” in 1994 and later became known for its video content produced under Vice News. According to a Times of India report, Vice’s India venture will be based out of Mumbai “that will create original content for distribution across television, mobile, digital and linear platforms in the region”. This will involve the launch of Viceland as a paid TV channel and Virtue — Vice’s in-house creative service that produces advertorial content.
