Are you a female entrepreneur in India? Come to Delhi
Finally, some good news for Delhi when it comes to issues concerning women. The national capital is ranked 22 on a list of top 25 global cities for women entrepreneurs. The Dell Women Entrepreneur Cities Index (WE Cities) was released by the American computer technology multinational firm, Dell. It rates cities across the globe that have the “ability to attract and support high-potential women entrepreneurs”.
Part of Dell’s Women’s Entrepreneur Initiatives, the list ranks cities, rather than countries to take into account “the impact of local policies and programs in addition to national laws and customs”.
The top five cities in the list are New York, Bay Area, London, Stockholm and Singapore.
However, Delhi could not make it to the top five in any of the five individual categories — capital, technology, talent, culture and markets– which were combined to yield the results.
