From heir-apparent to house help
Rahul Gandhi is apparently working as domestic help in Indirapuram’s housing society in Ghaziabad. At least, that’s what records verified and stamped by Uttar Pradesh (UP) Police reportedly state. The Apartment Owners Association of the housing society found the form bearing the photo and details of the Congress Vice-President during a verification drive. According to reports published by Hindustan Times and Jagran (Hindi daily), Gandhi’s pictures and details are used in this form and amusingly UP Police officials at the Shipra Sun City police station have stamped and verified Gandhi’s photograph. The form also mentions the Congress scions’ official address: 12, Tuglak Lane, New Delhi, as also late Rajiv Gandhi as his father. It, though, mentions the flat owner’s name, Arun Sharma, he has denied submitting the form.
The Ghaziabad Police has claimed in the HT report that the form is a fabricated one. “The stamp on the form bearing Rahul Gandhi’s photo is fake and not the one used by police. Someone had prepared a fake police stamp,” said Salman Taj, Superintendent of Police.
