India Today, Aaj Tak named Best English and Hindi channels

The ninth edition of exchange4media’s News Broadcasting Awards (ENBA) was held on February 25, 2017. There were more than 300 entries for the 31 categories of awards. While India Today and Aaj Tak won Best News Channel in English and Hindi respectively, Gaurav Sawant of India Today bagged the award for the Best spot reporting for his coverage of stone pelting in downtown Srinagar after terrorist Burhan Wani was killed.

The jury for ENBA 2016 was led by Star India’s Managing Director Sanjay Gupta. He was accompanied by several others such as Alok Mehta, Chief Editor, Outlook Hindi, Archana Datta, Ex – Director General, All India Radio & Doordarshan,; columnist Devi Cherian, and more.
