Jharkhand lynching: Gau rakshaks, Bajrang Dal involved, says victim’s family
On the day Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das condemned the mob lynchings in the state including in Ramgarh and Giridih, the family members of one of the victims claimed the attackers were linked to a gau raksha samiti and the Bajrang Dal.
The family of Alimuddin Ansari, who was beaten up by the mob in Ramgarh and later succumbed to his injuries, have accused 12 people in their police complaint claiming that some of the accused are “linked to the local cow protection group and the Hindutva outfit,” the Indian Express reported.
The police arrested one man in connection with the lynching on Friday but didn’t reveal his identity. They are also probing the role of Ansari’s family in the sale of “prohibited bovine meat”.
