Hindi journalism finds itself on online crossroads
The Hindi media as well as society has to introspect on it, they said. There was a phase when the editors ignored the revenue models and due to this many reputed media organizations had to shut their operations. Hindi literature and media has always been hesitant to the globalized market – which is the truth in the current course of time. They have to go hand in hand.
Governments have always been in a dilemma on the condition of English. They make laws for the development of Hindi as a language. They have a complete mechanism of bureaucracy to implement these laws but it is completely under the influence of English. The Hindi developed by this bureaucracy is more of conservative, culturist and most of the time meaningless.
This is very similar to the hymns which a common man doesn’t understand. Hence, they have to go to scholars of the religion to understand it and they explain them accordingly. Similarly, the language of policies is so complex and purist that people have to depend on the bureaucracy to understand it.
