It’s #Pidi who has taken Twitter by storm, reveals Rahul Gandhi
Rahul Gandhi has come clean on Twitter. For those who were wondering what – or who – was behind his sudden wit and hilarious tweets on GST, demonetisation, Aadhaar and what not, it was Pidi, his puppy. The dog has surely taken Twitter by storm.
“People (have) been asking who tweets for this guy… I’m coming clean..it’s me..Pidi..I’m way smarter than him. Look what I can do with a tweet..oops..treat!” Rahul wrote in a tweet, posting a video clip in which he asks Pidi to do “namaste”, and instantly gaining fame on the social networking site. It was also quite a reply to those suggesting that someone else was tweeting on the behalf of the Congress vice-president.
Twitter was abuzz with Rahul’s latest smart comeback, as both fans and detractors retweeted and spread the word. #Pidi remained the top trend on Sunday night, getting over 20,000 likes and more than 9,000 retweets by Monday morning.
BJP leader Himanta Biswa Sarma, who switched over to the party from the Congress, took the chance to take a dig at Rahul, tweeting: “Sir @OfficeOfRG, who knows him better than me. Still remember you busy feeding biscuits to him while we wanted to discuss urgent Assam’s issues.”
