HuffPost India suddenly shuts down
HuffPost India has shut down.
“As of November 24 HuffPost India will no longer be publishing content. For more great global content, please visit HuffPost.com. We thank you for your support and readership,” reads a message on the digital news website’s homepage.
HuffPost India editor, Aman Sethi, confirmed the news on Twitter Tuesday evening. There’s no clarity yet regarding the reasons for the website’s closure.
Rather strangely, the entire body of work published by HuffPost India seems to be no longer accessible through its website, Huffpost.in It is not year clear if the work would be made available through the website later or through its parent website, HuffPost.com, based in the United States, or archived.
There’s also no clarity yet about the fate of the staff.
This is a developing story. We’ll keep updating it as and when more details become available.
