TV Newsance Episode 117: How 'Godi media' is maligning farmers
This week, we look at Amish Devgan's continuing antics as he locks horns with a Congress spokesperson and gets called names like "neech patrakaar" for trying to twist the spokesperson's statements and misrepresenting them.
We also look at two tools of propaganda used by the Indian TV news media. The first being manufacturing contempt, where the likes of ML Sharma, the infamous lawyer who defended the gangrape convicts in the December 2016 rape case in Delhi, are brought on national television to indirectly discredit the farmers. The second tool is infusing a feeling of "sab changa si" in the minds of citizens by showing how much worse the citizens of Pakistan have it.
