Journalist abducted and killed in Maharashtra

Rohidas Dastir, 49, a local journalist and RTI activist, was abducted and killed in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, on Tuesday, the Wire reported. The police said his body bore multiple injury marks.

Dastir was abducted from around College Road where he was travelling on his two-wheeler on Tuesday afternoon.

The police said they have identified a suspect and it appeared that the murder was motivated by some old dispute. Investigation is underway.
