NL webinar: Navigating the second Covid wave
To talk about the catastrophic Covid surge currently ripping through India, Manisha Pande hosts Prof Nirmal Ganguly, former director general of the Indian Council of Medical Research, and Dr Priya Sampathkumar, chair, Infection and Prevention Control at Mayo Clinic.
Sampathkumar noted that "it's a grave situation" and advises that “anybody you interact with today should be with masks". Ganguly explains how one can stay safe at home. The experts answer queries about vaccination as well.
They also discuss the workability of lockdowns in India, medicinal facets of Covid, and the parameters that the government should consider when dealing with this crisis and its aftereffects.
