TV Newsance Ep 129: Who’s accountable for the second Covid wave? Sssshhhh
After a mini-break, we bring you TV Newsance from the studio again. This week we look at how some TV anchors were put on a spot as the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic ripped through India. Someone had to be questioned and the anchors conveniently chose to blame the “system”, without really getting into who it was ran the system. Usual suspects such as Arnab Goswami were still busy praising prime minister Narendra Modi, while India TV told us about all the great things he’s been doing.
We also look at how we, as society, were caught off guard by the second wave and how some TV newswallahs and netas had prematurely declared victory against the virus.
Watch.
