Watch: Why doesn't Delhi have enough oxygen?
A day after Delhi's Sehgal Neo Hospital sent out an SOS on Twitter about oxygen shortage, Newslaundry spoke with its director, Dr Narin Sehgal. "Oxygen is the mainstay of treatment," he said. "Nobody expected that we would be needing so much oxygen."
How come central and Delhi governments didn't anticipate this and prepare accordingly? "There should have been better planning," he replied. "If we had created a buffer, that would have helped."
