UP Covid Disaster
How's rural Gorakhpur coping with Covid catastrophe?
Primary Health Centres and Community Health Centres in Gorakhpur are overwhelmed as the catastrophic second wave of the pandemic rages in Uttar Pradesh. These centres are only tasked with testing and vaccinating for coronavirus but they are finding it hard to keep pace. It takes hours to get an RTPCR test done and there are no vaccines for the 18-45 age group. Many of the centres are shut.
