TV Newsance 150: Aaj Tak's copyright strikes, and Aryan Khan vs Lakhimpur Kheri
Newslaundry’s official YouTube channel has been locked out thanks to our Dear Friends at Aaj Tak who have sent us one copyright strike/claim after the other. In all, we have over 50 copyright strikes and claims in the past two weeks, which basically means that our channel risks deactivation.
But the dhulai must not stop. So, you can find our full episodes on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, DailyMotion and Vimeo.
In this episode, we wonder what prompted Aaj Tak’s strikes on Newslaundry and explain why what we do falls under "fair use". Criticism is not a copyright violation. We also look at the coverage around Aryan Khan and how Lakhimpur Kheri was covered by some of our dear news channels.
Small teams can do great things. All it takes is a subscription. Subscribe now and power Newslaundry’s work.
