Chhath Puja at Yamuna Ghat: Festivities amidst toxic foam
Despite the toxic layer of thick white foam surrounding them, devotees at the Yamuna Ghat near Delhi’s Kalindi Kunj believe their faith will protect them. The polluted water of the Yamuna is not a deterrent when it comes to the annual festivities of Chhath Puja, as those attending told Newslaundry they think their gods and goddesses will look after them.
