TV Newsance 168: Bulldozer ka religion and news anchors ki khushi
The bulldozer was all over TV news this week, with live visuals playing across channels of JCBs tearing down tin structures, homes and shops. Breathless anchors told us how bulldozers were serving justice after the Jahangirpuri violence.
Anjana Om Kashyap took it up a notch and boarded a bulldozer to give us breaking news. Meanwhile, Navika on primetime gave us important information on Vivek Agnihotri’s tweet. Many TV news anchors expressed their support for this instant justice by the MCD, with little attention to due process that should be followed to carry out encroachment drives. Anchors also told us how Hindu homes were also destroyed as a consolation prize.
We also look at Republic Bharat’s latest sensation – a rap reporter in Ukraine. We have suggestions for some more dance moves for Republic’s war reporting.
