Stay away from the media, BJP tells Dilip Ghosh

BJP general secretary Arun Singh has told the party’s vice president Dilip Ghosh to “refrain” from speaking to the media about his colleagues, news agency ANI reported.

In a letter on May 30, Singh said Ghosh’s statements had caused embarrassment to the BJP’s leadership, citing a recent interview wherein the vice president was “openly critical of senior functionaries” of the party in Bengal.

Singh said that he had written the letter at the instance of the BJP president JP Nadda. He added, “I wish to convey to you party’s deep anguish and concern at issuance of such statements and advise you to always refrain from going to the media or any public fora, about your own colleagues either in the state of West Bengal or anywhere else.”

The letter advised Ghosh to “remain more discreet in his dealings with the print, electronic, other media or any public fora”.
