Chandigarh mayor poll: AAP protests ‘Modishahi’, accuses BJP of dictatorship
The Aam Aadmi Party took to the streets on Friday to protest against the alleged rigging by the BJP in the Chandigarh mayoral elections.
But as the AAP workers began pouring in at the party headquarters to head to the BJP office for the protest, the Delhi police barricaded the area, saying AAP did not have the permission to the protest.
The gathering of party workers was addressed by both AAP chief and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann. The latter accused the BJP of “dictatorship” and said there will be “no election if the Modi government comes back to power”.
Not too far from the AAP protest, the BJP workers began protesting against Kejriwal and his government in Delhi. The protestors accused Kejriwal of corruption and scams.
What all happened on ground zero? What did the protesters say?
