Radhikaa Sarathkumar, an actor-turned-politician, recently joined the BJP and is contesting the Lok Sabha polls from Tamil Nadu’s Virudhunagar.
The actor has returned to electoral politics years after contesting the Tamil Nadu assembly polls unsuccessfully as an AIADMK candidate in 2006. She speaks to The News Minute’s Haritha John on why she joined the BJP, her experience of emergency under former PM Indira Gandhi, electoral bonds, Hindi, and her hopes for Tamil Nadu.
