‘Price rise biggest issue, difficult to run home’: Women at Kumari Selja’s rally
Congress leader Kumari Selja, who was upset over the party’s candidate list, finally began campaigning on September 26. She began her election marathon from Suryanagar in Hisar, where she campaigned for Congress candidate Ramniwas Rana.
Rana is contesting against BJP state minister and two-time MP Kamal Gupta, who is facing a strong wave of anti-incumbency, and BJP MP Naveen Jindal’s mother and independent candidate Savitri Jindal.
Newslaundry spoke to Selja and the women at her rally about the tussle within Congress, BJP’s poll tactics, and issues of the people. A Hisar local, Anusuiya, said, “Inflation is the biggest issue. It is becoming difficult to run the house. The one who can reduce inflation should win.”
