Newsance 269: Haryana poll results excitement, Arnab’s conspiracy theories

This week was a very exciting one for news anchors as the BJP charted a surprise victory in Haryana. We run you through the rollercoaster of emotions and U-turns witnessed by our usual suspects and the overconfident exit pollsters, who learned nothing from the Lok Sabha polls. 

With the release of poll results for Haryana, we saw Rahul bhakti emerging from surprising places. Some anchors tried their best to make sense of a possible Congress victory, while others were overjoyed at the prospect, and Congress leader Pawan Khera promised to treat the TV anchors with jalebis. But this momentum was short-lived. And we saw, once again, the failure of exit polls. 

Through the consolation, analysis, speculation, and conspiracy theories, Modi bhakti made a big comeback!
