HC directs takedown of YouTuber’s video on Jaggi Vasudev’s ashram
The Delhi High Court has directed a takedown of YouTuber Shyam Meera Singh’s recent video on Isha Foundation and its founder spiritual leader Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev.
The court passed the interim order in a defamation suit filed by Isha Foundation against Singh. The suit will now be heard on July 9.
Uploaded on February 24, the video was titled “Sadhguru EXPOSED: What’s happening in Jaggi Vasudev’s Ashram” and alleged that minors were being exploited in the ashram.
According to LiveLaw, Justice Subramonium Prasad directed defendants Google LLC, X Corp and Meta platforms to take down the video and restrained Singh from publishing or sharing the video in question in the interim. Justice Prasad also restrained the public from uploading the said video on any social media platform.
