IT ministry in talks with X over Grok slurs: Reports
Sources in the Information and Technology Ministry are “engaging” with social media platform X over its generative AI chatbox Grok using Hindi slangs and slurs in its responses, PTI reported.
While the IT Ministry hasn’t sent an official notice to X Corp, a source told the news agency, “We are in touch, we are talking to them (X) to find out why it is happening and what are the issues. They are engaging with us.”
Grok, developed by xAI and launched in 2023 by X owner Elon Musk, had recently taken netizens by surprise over its use of witty and occasional slur-laden responses.
