As the fog of war between India and Pakistan cleared up this weekend, news anchors this week had to come to terms with the ceasefire. Anchors, who once hailed Trump and sang praises of the loving relationship between him and Modiji, were heartbroken this week when Trump took credit for stopping the conflict between India and Pakistan.
Anchors, who were overjoyed when their pawpaw “stopped” a foreign war, couldn’t handle it when Donald Trump claimed to do the same.
This week, we try to understand India’s military success. We look at how the international community’s lack of support for India after Operation Sindoor exposes a failure of Indian diplomacy and the need for a better media ecosystem.
However, the media ecosystem was busy excusing the misinformation they spread, and calling such fake news “information warfare”.
This week, the entire country realised the extent of deterioration of our media ecosystem as seen from the several reels making fun of the Indian media.
