TV Newsance 300: TV News anchors vs the new tukde tukde gang
With a ceasefire in place between India and Pakistan, our TV news anchors decided to turn their gaze inwards – to look for enemies within the borders and declare war on them instead. Their first stop? Ashoka University, where Professor Ali Khan Mahmudabad became the latest target. Arnab Goswami promptly labelled him part of a wealthy “tukde tukde gang,” comparing them to their less privileged cousins from JNU.
Meanwhile, over on India Today, Preeti Chaudhary grilled the NCW chief, who appeared completely unprepared to justify why Professor Ali’s remarks were deemed “offensive” in the first place.
Also on the media’s hit list this week was the usual suspect – the Congress – and influencer Jyoti Malhotra, who was recently arrested over alleged espionage.
And while all this unfolded, guess who quietly returned to our screens? Sudhir Chaudhary.
For all this and more, watch.
