TV Newsance 337 | LPG crisis, Godi media circus and the Loomer meltdown

This week on TV Newsance: the world is spiralling into chaos. Oil prices are skyrocketing, markets are tanking, LPG shortages are hitting homes, and even godi anchors are struggling to defend the government. Meanwhile, Sudhir is busy advising people to ‘cook less and save more’. Brilliant.

Globally? It’s the same story. Trump’s godi media is busy parroting how every move is a ‘masterstroke’. Sound familiar? This is exactly what happens when billionaires take over, and the media becomes a government mouthpiece.

This week also witnessed the ‘Mahakumbh of Stupidity’, otherwise known as the India Today Conclave 2026. Meaningful discussions? Nuanced dialogue? Never heard of them. In this golden age of stupidity, India Today invited Laura Loomer – the renowned racist, Islamophobe and Trump ally – to spit more venom. The session was hosted by India’s very own ‘patriot’, Gaurav Sawant, alongside Preeti Choudhry.

Gaurav Sawant – host of India First and self-proclaimed patriot – completely chickened out in front of Loomer. Given the network's track record, it seems her raging Islamophobia was more than enough to buy a pass for her vile racism.
