Kejriwal’s flower power in Goa
Move over Prime Minister Modi with your outrageous headgears every time you visit a new state. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal just visited Goa and here’s what he looked like:
One picture is not enough, you have to look at him in all its floral glory.
If you can manage a solemn moment while gazing upon that blooming visage, allow us to inform you that Kejriwal is wearing what is locally known as kopel. This flower crown is the standard accessory during the feast of Sao Joao. Another part of the celebration involves jumping into wells, which is a rather evocative image in itself.
Notice that Kejriwal said he wants to “start a fight against drugs” once he’s able to stop corruption in Goa. We’re imagining him taking the fight to Russian mafia in that headgear — they’ll pull out their guns and he can stick a gerbera in it. Another chance to take gandhigiri forward for AAP chief.
Meanwhile, we’re waiting for Twitter to explode with memes.
