Women thrashed in Madhya Pradesh by self-styled cow-protectors

The sons and the daughters of the holy cow mother are at it again.

Two women, were attacked by a group of people, allegedly for carrying beef on Tuesday in Mandsaur city of Madhya Pradesh. They were reportedly Muslims. In the video posted by NDTV, the women can be seen getting abused and beaten up by a group of men and women, belonging to a Hindu radical group called Hindu Dal.

Reports mention that the police received a “tip-off” that the two women were carrying 30 kilograms of beef from Jaora to sell it in Mandsaur. It is unclear how the radical vgilante group got the information and showed up at the railway station to deliver their kind of justice. It is evident in the video that the police is barely making any efforts to save the women from the angry crowd which seems to be shouting, and no surprises here, Gau Mata Ki Jai!

According to the NDTV report, local doctors who conducted a test on the meat found out that it was buff (buffalo meat) and not beef. In Madhya Pradesh, selling buffalo meat is not illegal, although a permit is required for that, which the women were not carrying, said the same report. The women have been taken to judicial custody, but the men and women who took the law in their hands by thrashing the women have not been arrested, or even detained.
