Sharad Yadav, JD(U) MPs shocked at #NitishGharWapsi
Former Janata Dal (United) president Sharad Yadav has expressed his unhappiness over Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s “unilateral” move to break the mahagathbandhan of the JD(U)-Rashtriya Janata Dal-Congress on Thursday.
Even though Yadav refused to comment on the developments in Bihar, the senior leader said, “It will send a wrong message among people of Bihar.” Kumar’s sudden jettisoning of the mahagathbandhan and a lightning-swap of allies to form a government with the BJP is being criticised by other political leaders as well.
Mocking Kumar, two-term Rajya MP Sitaram Yechury told ANI, “Every few years Nitish Kumar takes oath as CM from different alliances. Quite a record. It is straightforward political opportunism.”
While former Bihar chief minister Lalu Prasad Yadav said, he was “considering an appeal in the Supreme Court against the JDU-BJP government formation”.
JD(U) MP Ali Anwar, who is also the party general secretary, said, “Nitish has taken the decision unilaterally and I can’t support the BJP.”
