BJP Yuva Morcha files criminal complaint against Ramachandra Guha
In the absence of a response from historian Ramchandra Guha to their legal notice, the Karnataka BJP Yuva Morcha on Tuesday lodged a criminal complaint against the former for not apologising for his remarks against the Sangh Parivar and the BJP.
On September 6 in a Skype interview with Scroll.in Guha had said, “It is very likely that her [Gauri Lankesh] murderers came from the same Sangh Parivar from which the murderers of Dabholkar, Pansare and Kalburgi came.” Subsequently, in a column published in Hindustan Times on September 9, Guha is said to have made “similar statements”.
Speaking about the complaint filed at the Malleshwaram Police Station, General Secretary – BJP Youth Wing, Karnataka Tejasvi Surya said, “We have begun criminal proceedings against Guha as he has not apologised and made unfounded accusations against us. We have filed a criminal complaint and we will take him to court against his remarks accusing us of our involvement in Gauri Murder.”
