Today in stuff you wish was fake news, Rajiv Malhotra becomes honorary visiting professor at JNU
Today in stuff that you’d wish was fake news, Hindutva ideologue Rajiv Malhotra has been appointed an honorary visiting professor at Jawaharlal Nehru University’s Centre for Media Studies. Malhotra is founder-director of Infinity Foundation whose website claims that he has “conducted original research in a variety of fields and has influenced many other thinkers in India and the West [emphasis ours]”. The word original was probably used here to fend off silly sickulars who keep harping on Malhotra’s plagiarising ways and thrust their western sensibilities on our very desi Malhotra who lives in the US.
It isn’t exactly clear why Malhotra was chosen by JNU but we’re hoping it’s got nothing to do with his video with Paramahamsa Nithyananda where he proposes novel ways of helping Bill Gates retain his wealth through his many incarnations. True story.
