Former Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit passes away at 81
Former Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit passed away in Delhi at the age of 81. According to the Mint, she was admitted to Fortis Escorts Heart Institute in a critical state yesterday.
“Dikshit had cardiac arrhythmia (irregular heartbeat) and had to be immediately put on ventilator,” Mint reported quoting two unnamed sources. Dikshit had undergone a heart surgery in France last year.
The 81-year-old served as Delhi’s chief minister for 15 years.
