TV Newsance Episode 125: A tale of two interviews, from Yogi Adityanath to Mithun Da
This week we look at the state of Indian television news media, from the lens of two interviews that dropped on our TV sets.
While Amish Devgan did an interview with UP CM Yogi Adityanath and gave us a lesson on how not to conduct a journalistic interview. ABP News journalist Vikas Bhadauria asked some pointed questions to BJP’s latest joinee in West Bengal, Mithun Chakraborty. Result? Another “bas dosti bani rahe” moment.
We also look at Sudhir Chaudhary’s exclusive “jaanch” on Jawaharlal Nehru ka “cigarette wala mehenga shaukh” and also a wrap of Hindu-Muslim debates on West Bengal elections. We end the episode about interviews, with yet another interview that made headlines worldwide, and what is says about the state of discourse in the UK, and how that compares to the state of discourse in India.
