Good Glamm Group acquires digital media platform ScoopWhoop
Good Glamm Group, the parent company of direct-to-consumer beauty and personal care brand MyGlamm, has acquired digital media and lifestyle content platform ScoopWhoop, according to a report by Business Standard.
"ScoopWhoop has been the default digital content platform for millions of men. With this acquisition two of India’s largest digital media brands come together to turbocharge our growth as the Good Glamm Group!" Priyanka Gill, one of the co-founders of Good Glamm Group, told Business Standard.
According to the report, the group is currently “building and buying male grooming brands”. With ScoopWhoop’s audience being over 60 percent male, the report said, this acquisition fits into the brand’s intentions of investing Rs 500 crore in the men’s category over the next three years.
ScoopWhoop founders Sattvik Mishra, Rishi Pratim Mukherjee and Sriparna Tikekar will continue in leading positions and will work closely with the co-founders of Good Glamm Group. The media house will continue as an independent brand within the group.
"At ScoopWhoop, we’re proud that we’ve built a brand loved by young India for its fun, lifestyle focussed content. Being part of Good Glamm Group gives us the chance to substantially scale up, while becoming a defining force in the content-to-commerce revolution," ScoopWhoop co-founder Sattvik Mishra told the Economic Times, while commenting on the acquisition.
Last year, the Good Glamm Group acquired digital media platform Popxo. It also bought out The Moms Co in early October.
