'This is also God's house': Gurugram gurudwara criticised after opening its doors for namaz
From Govardhan pujas to inflammatory speeches, designated spots for namaz in Gurugram have been facing severe pushback from right-wing groups and locals. Among these cries of “land jihad” and “terrorism”, a gurudwara in Gurugram announced that Muslims were free to come pray in its basement until the issue is resolved.
However, the gurudwara received pushback for its invitation. Newslaundry visited the premises in Sadar Bazar on November 19, where namaz did not take place due to Gurpurab. However, the message of communal harmony rang loud and clear during conversations with Sikh and Muslim delegations.
