Sansad Watch Ep 19: Winter session kicks off with suspensions and a reproductive tech bill
The winter session of Parliament began on November 29 and things have already started heating up.
The three contentious farm bills were swiftly repealed in both houses without giving any time to the opposition to say anything about it. Twelve MPs were suspended for the entire duration of the winter session for allegedly unruly behaviour during the previous monsoon session. And the Assisted Reproductive Technology (Regulation) Bill was passed after a discussion that lasted a whopping three hours and 51 minutes.
