TV Newsance 178: Kaali poster, Mahua Moitra’s comments and farewell to Sudhir
It’s the season of outrage, and TV news anchors can't have enough of it! They are angry, hurt and offended – but for what? Not unemployment, or inflation or gas prices going up; from Nupur Sharma to now Mahua Moitra, hurt sentiments continue to rule the airwaves.
We look at how Aaj Tak played up Moitra’s comments on the Kaali poster at the India Today Conclave. The channel's anchors spent much of their time debating why and if she should be arrested. Meanwhile, it seems the Supreme Court lambasting Nupur Sharma and Times Now has had some effect on Navika Kumar.
Finally, we bid farewell to our dearest Sudhir Chaudhary, who announced his exit from Zee News this week. A TV icon for all the outrageous reasons truly deserves a befitting celebration of his top iconic moments. Also, who will fill his big shoes now?
Watch.
