Here’s why Delhi mayor polls were stalled again
The polls to elect Delhi’s mayor have been postponed for the third time. This came amid a ruckus with Aldermen, or nominated members, being allowed to vote, and the presiding officer asking two AAP MLAs to leave the House over corruption charges.
Sessions to elect the mayor were similarly adjourned on January 6 and January 24 with a war of words between the AAP and BJP. But what are the reasons behind the repeated adjournments?
