TV Newsance 227: Godi media on women’s quota bill, TV news’ war against Khalistan

This week started off with our usual suspects – now boycotted TV news anchors – giving themselves a new name, G14. We try to take a guess at what this ‘G’ could be. Meanwhile, as the Women’s Reservation Bill received the parliament’s nod, the TV news anchors harped on about exactly how historic it is. But failed to give insight into its key aspects.

We also take a look at the opposition’s newly-launched employment scheme for political analysts – who are now being invited to all the TV news debates to cover-up for the conspicuous absence of the opposition as a result of their boycott of the 14 anchors. The week also saw Times Now bring in history expert Kangana Ranaut on its panel. She shed light on the timeline of our “real” independence. Yet again! Thus, we trace the biggest beneficiaries of the employment scheme.

In other news, as Canadian Prime minister Justin Trudeau accused India of being involved in the killing of a Canadian citizen, the TV news stepped up as the first line of defence. The news channels went all out against Canada with some hilarious thumbnails.

Watch.
