NL@12: The journey of ad-free news, and a reminder of what it can do

We’ve spent the last 12 years building an alternate news model for you. Through shows, podcasts, interviews and reports aimed at making you more informed and bringing you the truth of every breaking story.

Even when the state came knocking at our doors and legal notices were thrown at us, none of it stopped us from doing what we do. Over the years, Newslaundry teams travelled across the country to bring stories that were lost in the big headlines, be it during elections or amid disasters, protests and conflicts. We also came up with a crowdfunded app. 

And the awards that followed have only inspired us. 

But while we’re proud of our work, our most important achievement is your support. Without you, a news model to serve public interest would’ve never been possible. Thank you for powering our journalism and 12 years of ad-free news. And as we move ahead, we’ll need you to continue your support. Because when the public pays, the public is served.
