‘Will bring startups, IT’: AIADMK’s G Ramachandran on prestige battle in Coimbatore
G Ramachandran is the AIADMK candidate from Coimbatore, which is set to witness a three-cornered fight in the Lok Sabha polls beginning on April 19. He is in the fray against former Coimbatore mayor and DMK candidate Ganapathy Rajakumar and BJP state president Annamalai.
For over 13 years, the constituency has been a stronghold of the AIADMK under party leader SP Velumani. However, the party is now fighting for survival with its youngest candidate contesting in Coimbatore.
In conversation with The News Minute’s Pooja Prasanna, Ramachandran talks about the AIADMK’s ground presence, the BJP’s presence, Annamalai, Congress, and his vision for Coimbatore.
