TRB Rajaa, Tamil Nadu’s minister for industries and investment, has been given the charge of Coimbatore in the current Lok Sabha polls.

The constituency is witnessing a three-cornered fight, and the DMK is looking to capitalise the split between the AIADMK and the BJP. The party has fielded former Coimbatore mayor Ganapathy Rajakumar as its candidate against AIADMK’s G Ramachandran and BJP state president Annamalai.

Notably, Coimbatore has been an AIADMK stronghold.

In conversation with The News Minute’s Pooja Prasanna, TRB Rajaa spoke about the polls, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, media, and the BJP’s efforts to win in the southern state. He also accused the Modi government of “unfair treatment” towards Tamil Nadu.
