Month after global ‘anti-Hindu plot’ speech, Pradeep Bhandari is BJP spokesperson
Pradeep Bhandari, a television anchor and founder of digital platform Jan Ki Baat, has been chosen as the BJP’s new national spokesperson.
BJP’s Puri MP Sambit Patra congratulated him on X. “Heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to brother Shri Pradeep Bhandari ji on being appointed as the national spokesperson of BJP.”
Bhandari shot to limelight in 2020 over controversial reports on the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. In September that year, a video of his argument with some journalists was widely circulated on social media. Bhandari was then a consulting editor in Republic TV, which he quit in February next year. He subsequently joined Zee News and then India News.
A petition before the Delhi High Court later alleged he was among those who made objectionable remarks on the Hindi film industry.
Last month, Bhandari tried to expose an “anti-Hindu” global plot at a ‘Digital Hindu Conclave’.
Newslaundry reached out to Bhandari for comment. This report will be updated if a response is received.
