Fight To Breathe
Jan 10, 2025: Aaj Ka AQI from the National Green Tribunal
Aaj Ka AQI is a new show aimed at fixing accountability for a solution to India’s air crisis. For episode 13, Newslaundry went to the National Green Tribunal on Friday.
The AQI reading at the nearest station was 425 or in the ‘severe’ category. Outside the NGT premises, the PM 2.5 level hovered around 211, while the air detector pegged PM 10 at around 244.
The NGT has kept a close watch on the air pollution crisis and has pulled up several authorities for their inability to reduce pollution levels.
