NL Interview
A 13-year-old interview as NL turns 13: Can Abhinandan Sekhri agree with Tavleen Singh?
Newslaundry just turned 13 and, like any teenager worth their salt, we’re planning to be rebellious, defiant and full of questions. Qualities that, you might say, we’ve exhibited from the start, and which we’ll only ramp up in the years to come.
As part of our birthday festivities, we’re re-releasing an old interview that showcases all these stellar qualities. If you’ve been with us from the start, you might remember March 2012, barely a month after Newslaundry launched, when Abhinandan Sekhri sat down to agree with Tavleen Singh.
That was the plan, of course, but things weren’t quite as agreeable as you’d think. They discussed TV news and crony capitalism, fraudulent NGOs and accents.
So, did they eventually agree?
Watch to find out.
