In Delhi heat, water crisis hits the marginalised the hardest
Many areas in Delhi are facing a water crisis this summer. Bearing the brunt are those living in slums and unauthorised colonies in localities such as Chanakyapuri and Sangam Vihar.
While residents of Chanakyapuri have to wait for hours for Delhi Jal Board tankers to arrive, Sangam Vihar locals are forced to get water from private tankers. Sometimes no tanker arrives even after waiting for hours.
