June 19, 2025: A good air day in Laxmi Nagar amid Delhi’s clean air gap
Laxmi Nagar is a hub of commercial activity in East Delhi. It is also home to scores of coaching institutes attended by thousands of students from across the capital every day.
Newslaundry visited the area which witnessed satisfactory air quality on Thursday as the nearest air quality monitoring station pegged the AQI at 77. However, this was largely due to the recent rainfall instead of the government’s efforts – a recent report flagged funds meant to be used to improve air quality remained unused.
The poorest AQI in Delhi, meanwhile, was recorded by the Sonia Vihar air monitoring station at 177.
